Suicide - Fast Track to God or One Way Ticket to Hell?

*** NOTICE: If you are easily saddened and prone to cry and can't emotionally deal with facts and the truth, please skip reading this.  If however you are tired of people sugar-coating things and essentially lying to you, then please read on! ***

1 Corinthians 1:19,21,25 - For it is written: " I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent." For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Lots of Readers - So Few Comments

So a few weeks ago I was having a chat with a friend and the subject came up about why there are so few comments left on my blog.

Something you may not be aware of, is this site has a quite large and steady readership.
Believe me, nobody is more surprised than I am!  :P

The most interesting thing, is I get quite a large number of questions and comments emailed to me, it's just that online comments are almost non-existent.

Another thing you may not know, is that I have been quite active at trying to partner with other Pastors and Evangelists.  The funny thing about that, is while these other Pastors and Evangelists have a quite small online presence, they hold my lack of commenters against me.  LOL.

So I have a request.

If it's not too much trouble, please leave some comments.

Who knows, maybe if some of the activity from my inbox gets shifted into the Blog.....
Maybe the second season of "Biblically Speaking" will get kick-started into motion!

For those of you who are privacy minded like myself, I'm not asking for you to get involved with social networking, not in the least.  I'm just talking about starting a conversation, except instead of you emailing me, click the little box to leave a comment.

Pastor Keith Says #1

About 6 zillion times a year someone says to me, "Look Pastor Keith, I know you like to say what the Bible says about things, but I want to know what PASTOR KEITH says about things!  Don't you have any thoughts or opinions of your own???"  While I of course have thoughts and opinions of my own, these people have SO missed the point that it's sad.

Think about this for a moment.  A history teacher walks into the room and begins by saying, "It doesn't say this anywhere in the history books, but I know for CERTAIN that what I'm about to teach you is true."  Are you scared yet?  How about if a Pastor begins the days preaching with, "Now it doesn't say this anywhere in the Bible, but believe me when I tell you that the spirit has revealed these things to me!"  About now you should be running for the doors!  If someone attempts to teach you something that IS NOT and CAN NOT be found ANYWHERE in the Bible, run, Run, RUN!

With that said, even though I recognize that compared to God, that I really know very little, sometimes I like to think that I come up with some pretty sound advice.  And as with most things, you get what you pay for, so if you don't like these musings I'll share with you, please feel free to return them for a full refund!  :P

Pastor Keith says, "On your deathbed, it's better to regret the things that you didn't do, rather than the things that you did do.  The things not done were not consequential, merely things that you would have enjoyed in the flesh!  The things that were done, are things that were not only consequential, but will weigh heavily on your mind, your heart and in your spirit.  If you are presented with an opportunity to do something and you can't find any way for that something to bring Glory to God, then you probably shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

And that reminds me.  I'm not actually suggesting that you have ANY regrets at all, but suffice it to say that without some regret, there can be no repentance to begin with.

So that's my first "Pastor Keith Says".
I would hope that I gave you something to remember and something to pass along.

As always, please feel free to leave your comments or suggestions below.

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil ...

So let me see if I've got this straight?

Patriotism is bad but Islamism is good.
Christianity is bad but Homosexuality is good.
Jews are bad but Hamas and Hezbollah are good.
Immigration and Customs is bad but Human Trafficking is good.
President Trump is bad but the likes of Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Cory Booker, Keith Ellison and Kamala Harris are good.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is bad but Louis Farrakhan is good.
Law abiding White People are bad but Black criminals are good.
Guns for protection are bad but legalizing recreational marijuana to get high is good.
Building a wall to protect the United States is bad but the Great Wall of China is good.
Upholding and Protecting the US Constitution is bad but a One World Government is good.
Wealthy people who worked hard for what they have are bad but people who refuse to work and want welfare are good.
Standing up for Liberty and Freedom is bad but deleting 30,000 emails is good.
Hiring Loyal and Trustworthy people is bad but reporting things in the media that aren't true is good.

Isaiah 5:20,24 - Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!  Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble, And the flame consumes the chaff, So their root will be as rottenness, And their blossom will ascend like dust; Because they have rejected the law of the LORD of hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Back in the 1820's a man by the name of Albert Barnes wrote this about that passage:

The sin which is reprobated here is that of “perverting and confounding” things, especially the distinctions of morality and religion. They prefer erroneous and fake doctrines to the true; they prefer an evil to an upright course of conduct.

“Darkness” in the Scriptures, is the emblem of ignorance, error, false doctrine, crime. Light denotes truth, knowledge, piety.

“Bitter and bitterness” are often used to denote “sin;” see the note at Acts 8:23; also Romans 3:14; Ephesians 4:31; Hebrews 12:15; Jeremiah 2:19; Jeremiah 4:18. The meaning here does not differ from that expressed in the other parts of the verse, except that there is “implied” the additional idea that sin “is” bitter; and that virtue, or holiness, is sweet: that is, that the one is attended with painful consequences, and the other with pleasure.

Taken from Albert Barnes "Commentary on Isaiah 5:20".
"Barnes' Notes on the New Testament".

This is Biblical Prophesy being unfolded right before our eyes.
Sure, people have always looked to justify their filth, but what's happening today is ridiculous.

Did I leave something out???
Let me know in the comments!
If it's good I'll add it to the list! (or is it bad?)  :P

As always, please feel free to leave your comments, but keep them family friendly.
Also, please feel free to share anything you see here.
