Jesus Only Movement - aka Jesuism / Jesusism / Jesuanism

Please forgive me.

Sometimes it takes me a while to figure out WHAT exactly is going on.
And by "what", I also mean WHY is it happening.  Allow me to explain....

For the past few years I've been hearing (OFTEN) "Jesus never said.....".  And what He "never said" is a long laundry list of things including:

• "Jesus never said that gay marriage was wrong"
• "Jesus never said that doing drugs was bad"
• "Jesus never said anything about giving to the church" (this one is rare)
• "Jesus never said anything about women pastors teaching men"

Every time I hear those types of things (believe me, there are many more), I always wonder to myself, "Why is that a problem?"  I would think to myself, "There's a lot of things that aren't mentioned in the bible, should we therefore avoid or ignore all of them?"  The answer is of course not.  Just because something isn't in the bible doesn't make it good or bad.  Doesn't make it right or wrong either.

But see, this is where I've been trapped for the past few years.  I didn't understand WHY these things were important to make sure we're aware of...  UNTIL NOW!  😄

There is a segment out there that has been around longer than any of us have been alive, that have tried to prove that if Jesus didn't say it, then it's not important.  Fact is, the progressive liberal socialists are using this very old movement to pursue some very nefarious ends.  So let's think about that reasonably for a moment.  If Jesus is God and He didn't say something, then sure, I guess it's not important, right?

Well.......
It WOULD be right except for one teensy, weensy thing....

2 Timothy 3:16-17 - All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

See that?  It says ALL SCRIPTURE is given BY GOD - SO THAT THE MAN OF GOD MAY BE COMPLETE!  It doesn't say "only those verses that Jesus spoke with His own human mouth".

OOPS...  Wait a minute.  I just goofed!  Paul wrote that!  I can't quote Paul and have the "Jesus Only" group listen to me.  I'd have to quote Jesus Himself!  And by the way, if the IRONY of this next quote doesn't hit you immediately, please let me know!

Mark 12:24 - Jesus answered and said to them, "Are you not therefore mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God?"

Exactly what Scriptures was Jesus talking about?  Was He talking about the book of Mark?  Impossible, it hadn't been written yet.  Was He talking about the rest of the New Testament?  Nope, none of the New Testament had been written yet.  Jesus was talking about SCRIPTURES, meaning every single thing contained in the bible.  What we have today, regardless of what the "scholars" would argue, are the 66 books of the bible that we reply upon, depend upon and indeed TRUST WITH OUR LIVES.

Anyone who would try to convince you that Jesus had to have said/done something in order for it to be true or important, is fooling you big time!  Who spoke the 10 commandments?  Was it Jesus?  Who created Jesus?  Was it Jesus?  See where I'm going here?  All of Scripture is what we call "God breathed".  Just as God BREATHED the universe into existence, we also know that God also breathed every single word contained in Scripture.  If you don't believe this extremely simple, basic & fundamental teaching, then you can rest assured, you're NOT a Christian.

Why would they try to deceive you with this false teaching?  SIMPLE!  They want you to doubt, question and lose trust in the thing that they hate most.  GOD!  They want to discredit and muddy THE BIBLE.  They want a way for their sick and disgusting ways of life to be acceptable in your eyes.  They want to try to make it impossible for you to believe anything you read, anything you hear and anything that you learn.  WHY?  That's been Satan's job since the garden!  Here's something else Jesus said:

John 10:10 - The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

If you read that entire passage, you will know with 100% certainty that the "thief" Jesus is talking about is IN FACT Lucifer.  He will do whatever is necessary in order to deceive you, manipulate you and fool you into thinking something other than what is true.  The sad part, since most "Christians" are very weak in their Bible knowledge, fooling them is extremely easy.  And believe me when I say that it doesn't matter how smart you are, what your IQ is, or what you do for a living.  If you don't know WHAT GOD HAS TO SAY ON A MATTER, then you can almost guarantee that what you "think in your own mind" is probably not the same.

Isaiah 55:8 - "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD."

This is why I warn you each and every day that I am alive, to be VERY CAREFUL of where you get your information from.  Chances are you're getting a full dose of ear-tickling nonsense daily!
